asked the Minister for Finance when a grant will be given from cross-Border funds for the extension and development of the boat quay at West End, Bundoran, County Donegal.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take questions Nos. 366 and 367 together.
The moneys for the five years special border area programme fund will be made available in my Department's Estimate for 1981 and subsequent years.
While some specific projects have been identified in the five-year programme which was sent to the Commission on October last, a definitive list has not been drawn up. All proposals will be considered and so far as is possible within the regulation a flexible approach will be followed in the allocation of funds. This is a new venture and as the programme progresses we will discern and concentrate upon the measures which are best succeeding in attaining the objective of the programme which is the improvement of the economic and social situation of the Border areas.
