Vol. 325 No. 7

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

409.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have telephone service restored to a business (details supplied) in County Dublin as it has been out of order for the past six weeks; and if the application to have a second telephone line installed can be routed through another exchange.

Service will be restored within a few days.

It is expected that a second line will be provided for the subscriber within about six months. Connection to another exchange would confer no benefit on the subscriber and the extra work involved in providing a line in this way could not be supported.

410.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a self-employed person (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

Towards the end of next year.

411.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a business concern (details supplied) in County Wicklow which applied some four years ago.

It is expected that service will be provided within the next four months or so.
