I am aware that the company in question has announced its intention to make 120 of its 380 workers redundant in the New Year. I understand that these redundancies have been caused by the failure of the company's sales in the US market to develop to the extent anticipated earlier this year. I am informed, however, that if market conditions should improve the company would expect to be in a position to increase its work force again during 1981.
