asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement on the proposed building of an extension to St. Joseph's secondary school, Rush, County Dublin, in the light of the need to replace a number of pre-fab buildings and to provide permanent accommodation for a total of 500 pupils; the reasons his Department are insisting on reductions being made to the tender; if, in the special circumstances of this case, sanction can now be given for the go-ahead to the extension in accordance with the wishes of the Order of Mercy who are in charge of the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
