asked the Minister for Education the proposals in his Department to provide second level educational facilities in Lifford, County Donegal; if, in view of the very large and ever increasing school-going population there who travel long distances each day at great inconvenience and at heavy cost, he will make a statement on the future educational requirements of the district and on how best these can be met.

The second level education needs of pupils from Lifford are met by the Raphoe school centre to which free school transport is available. I am satisfied the present arrangements are suitable and adequate.
