Busways to serve the areas mentioned by the Deputy were among the public transport options examined in CIE's Dublin Rail Rapid Transit Study of 1975.
As I have indicated in response to previous questions, I have asked the Dublin Transportation Task Force to further evaluate the rapid transit proposals and the major road proposals for the Dublin area. This evaluation will help to establish the priorities in relation to investment in transport infrastructure to meet the needs of the Dublin area, including the three suburbs to which the Deputy's question refers. I expect to receive an interim report in this matter from the task force at an early date.
