The person named has been appointed as auxiliary postman at Dunmore Sub-Post Office, County Galway. It is not the practice to advertise Auxiliary Postman vacancies but to seek nominations from the local employment exchange. Eight persons were nominated by Tuam Employment Exchange, six of whom returned completed application forms. The candidates were interviewed in order to assess their claims and qualification and the person selected for employment was regarded as the most suitable.
