Vol. 328 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Roscommon Property.

189.

Mr. Burke

asked the Minister for Health if he will state in regard to the property in Castlerea, County Roscommon, which is owned by the Rehabilitation Institute: (a) the nature of the legal difficulties that held up the acquisition of their property and the date they were finally resolved; (b) whether tenders have been invited for the development of the property and, if so, whether a tender has been accepted; and (c) the likely date of the commencement of the reconstruction work, together with the anticipated date for its completion.

The legal difficulties in this case did not involve any body for which I have statutory responsibility and I am not in a position to comment on the matter.

The Rehabilitation Institute are a voluntary organisation and questions of tenders for reconstruction of the property acquired by them are matters for decision by that organisation. I understand that the institute hope to commence reconstruction work on the property in May 1981 and to complete it by November next.
