I move:
That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and in the Resolution of the Dáil of 7 July, 1981—
(i) the Dáil shall sit later than 9 p.m. to-day and later than 5.30 p.m. to-morrow and the hour at which business is to be interrupted each day shall be 10.30 p.m.:
(ii) the sitting shall not be suspended from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. to-day:
(iii) the following arrangements shall apply in the debate on Financial Motion No. 9 — Amendment of Law:—
(a) the speech of the first speaker for Fianna Fáil shall not exceed one hour and a half;
(b) the speech of the second Government speaker and the speeches of the final two speakers shall not exceed one hour each;
(c) the speech of each other Member called on shall not exceed 45 minutes; and
(d) the final speaker for Fianna Fáil shall be called on to-morrow not later than 8.30 p.m. and a member of the Government shall be called on not later than 9.30 p.m., to conclude the debate not later than 10.30 p.m.; and
(iv) the Dáil at its rising to-morrow shall adjourn until Tuesday, 20 October, 1981.
