An application for consent to the sub-division of his holding by the person referred to was fully considered by the Land Commission but was refused. His solicitors were informed of this decision in April 1980. The granting of the application would have resulted in the creation of a holding which, in the opinion of the Land Commission, would not be an economic unit.
