Plans for the 38 house scheme at Shannon, which is now in progress, were prepared by the National Building Agency at the request of Clare County Council. I have been informed by the agency that sketch plans for a scheme of 38 houses and 28 private sites at Kilrush have been submitted to the housing authority. In addition the agency is about to start the preparation of plans for a further scheme on a site of about seven acres at Shannon on behalf of the council. I am not in a position to say when work on the latter two schemes will commence.
