On the details supplied by the Deputy it is not possible to say whether or not the person concerned would be entitled to a redundancy payment. Entitlement to redundancy payment is determined by length of service, age and reasons for the employee's dismissal. The reasons which relate to such entitlement are set out in the Redundancy Payments Acts. I have arranged that the person concerned will be forwarded the appropriate explanatory documentation and given any further assistance he may require by officials of my Department.
