asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as he has been on the waiting list for the past six years.

Within the next three months or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the application has been made for some time.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the serious error which has occurred in tha account of a subscriber (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if he will take steps to have the matter resolved.

The Department have no reason to believe that there is an error in this account. The subscriber disputed the meter call charges in a recent account but a check of the meter showed that it was recording accurately.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will as a matter of urgency provide a telephone service for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin having regard to the fact that an offer to provide such a service was made to the applicant on 18 January last.

It is expected that service will be provided within about three months.

193.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why the telephone which was made available to a person (details supplied) in Dublin and installed some time ago has not yet been connected and made operational; and if his Department will take immediate steps to remedy the matter.

The cable pair was found to be faulty at the installation stage. It is expected that service will be provided within the next three weeks or so.
