All payments due have now been made in this case. Completion of a prescribed form of declaration is a requirement for the payment of pension or special allowance. In this case a form of declaration was issued to the person referred to in the Deputy's question with the October 1981 payment of special allowance. As the form was not returned to my Department, a further copy was issued with the November 1981 payment. When this was not returned, payment of the special allowance had to be withheld.
