Vol. 333 No. 8

Standing Order No. 77: Report by Ceann Comhairle.

Pursuant to Standing Order No. 77, I have to report to the Dáil that on Monday, 19 April 1982, the Dáil being adjourned for a period longer than a week, I gave leave to the Clerk of the Dáil to take from the offices certain electoral documents of the general election of February 1982 relating to the constituency of Dublin North, that is, the original writ of election and certain marked copies of the register of electors in order that the Clerk could comply with a District Court witness summons to attend with these documents at a case of alleged personation to be tried at the District Court, Swords, on the following day. Following the case the documents were duly returned to Leinster House.

A lovely result, a real political result.
