Vol. 334 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

920.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been completed satisfactorily and occupied and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. At the time of the last inspection, the house was not occupied by the applicant as his normal place of residence.

921.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an applicant (details supplied) will be paid the £1,000 new house grant and mortgage subsidy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An incomplete application was received by my Department from the persons named in April 1982. When the outstanding information requested by my Department has been received, the application will be processed.

922.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a £1,000 new house grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; when it will be paid; and when the £4,000 mortgage subsidy will be paid.

When the applicant submits a form SL 4, which she has been asked to complete and have certified by her inspector of taxes, confirming that she has not previously claimed income tax relief in respect of interest paid on money borrowed to purchase or build a dwelling, an inspection will be arranged with a view to the payment of the grant, if in order. She has intimated that she is not applying for the £3,000 mortgage subsidy.
