I move:
That for the purpose of any Act of the present session to make new provision in respect of patents and related matters in substitution for the provisions of the Patents Act, 1964, and to enable effect to be given to certain international conventions on patents and to provide for other purposes, it is expedient to make provision for the charging by the Controller of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks in respect of matters relating to the grant of patents under any Act of the present session to make new provision as aforesaid or relating to other matters determined by law as coming within the duties of the said Controller, such fees as may from time to time be prescribed by the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism with the sanction of the Minister for Finance.
