Having regard to the projected population in the Riverstown/ Glanmire area of Cork, my Department consider that a new second-level school will be required within a matter of years. At this early stage of planning it is not possible to say when the new school will be made available or what the pupil capacity will be. The new school will be under the aegis of the County Cork Vocational Education Committee.
