asked the Minister for Agriculture when a 1981 cattle headage grant for approximately £872, a 1981 cow grant for approximately £156 and a 1980 cow grant for approximately £40 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 747 and 748 together.
The person named is not the registered herdowner and consequently cannot be considered for payment of any of the grants in question.
Following clarification of title, arrangements are now being made to pay his wife and son who are the joint registered herdowners, the various cattle and sheep headage grants outstanding provided they satisfy the terms and conditions of the schemes concerned.
