Dublin County Council have been advised that there is no immediate prospect of road grants being available for the project to which the Deputy refers. However, there are current practicable proposals for improvements to the existing Lucan-Clondalkin Road, in association with the construction of the section of the Western Parkway from Naas Road to Lucan Road, and the construction of a new road linking the existing Lucan-Clondalkin Road with this section of the Western Parkway, which should provide substantial relief to traffic in this area.
