I have seen the newspaper report referred to by the Deputy. In December 1981 my Department conveyed sanction to the recommended tenders for the mechanical plant and the sludge dewatering plant in order to facilitate completion of planning of the civil works for the Killarney sewage treatment works augmentation scheme. I understand that the contract documents for the civil works have been completed by the consultant and are presently being examined by the urban district council's engineering staff.
