It is the function of ACOT to provide financial assistance out of their statutory funds for private agricultural colleges, such as that proposed at Ballinafad. My Department recently informed ACOT that additional funds, not exceeding £285,000, would be provided in the current year for the purpose of providing grant-aid to the agricultural college at Ballinafad.
Payment of the funds will be made on receipt of the documentation normally required in such circumstances.
