The number of accidents reported to my Department in 1981 under the Safety in Industry Acts, 1955 and 1980 totalled 3,838, of which 570 occurred in the construction industry. No diseases were reported to my Department in 1981 under the Safety in Industry Acts, 1955 and 1980.
