The person named has applied to my Department for a fish culture licence to facilitate the storage of oysters in an area which is covered by the Oyster Fishery (Clarinbridge) Order, 1978. As this order vested exclusive rights with regard to oyster activities in the Clarinbridge Oyster Co-operative Society Ltd., the consent of that body is necessary in order to enable my Department to issue a fish culture licence to the person named. Until this consent is received it is not possible to issue the fish culture licence.
