There is no record, in my Department, of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for reconstruction work which was completed and notified to his Department by a person (details supplied) in Ennistymon, County Clare in 1979 will be paid.
Under the House Regulations 1980 as amended, the latest date for completion of work and receipt, in my Department, of claims for payment was 30 June 1981.
An instalment of £400 was paid in March 1981. As the above statutory requirements were not complied with, the balance of the grant cannot be paid.
