I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that on 5 March 1982, the taxpayer submitted a claim to the inspector of taxes for repayment of tax on the grounds of unemployment stating that he had ceased employment on 2 February 1982. The claim was not fully documented and a cessation certificate, which should give details of the taxpayer's earnings and tax, was not sent in. The inspector is still awaiting submission of the required information and the question of any repayment due will be examined when the necessary information will have been furnished.
