Vol. 337 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Galway Construction Projects.

443.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if he will give details of construction projects funded by his Department to be undertaken in County Galway during 1982; and if he will state in each case the amount provided for in 1982 Estimates.

All the construction projects funded by my Department during 1982 are being undertaken by the Industrial Development Authority.

I am informed by that authority that they plan to spend a total of £800,000 on construction projects in County Galway during 1982. The projects include site development works at Portumna, Tuam, Gort and the Parkmore Industrial Estate, Galway. Construction work on the following projects will also be undertaken: (a) Cluster unit (8 x 8,000 sq.ft.) on UCG Campus; (b) modifications to CR Baird factory at Parkmore Industrial Estate; (c) cluster unit at Tuam (2 x 3,250 sq.ft.); (d) refurbishing the former Crown Control Factory (Galway), and (e) modifications to IDA offices in Galway city.
