A site extension is necessary for the proposed extension project at Achill Sound Convent of Mercy national school, County Mayo. The plot originally proposed is no longer available, and an alternative extension has been offered.
A report by the Commissioners of Public Works as to the adequacy of the site extension and the feasibility of providing the required accommodation is being considered at present in conjunction with an updated report concerning long-term enrolment trends. I anticipate that an early decision will be taken on the matter.
