Vol. 337 No. 10

Written Answers. - Mallow Post Office.

442.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will if he will designate Mallow, County Cork as the centre for the new Post Office central sorting office.

As well as being the main processing and distributing centre for mails to and from its own head post office district, Mallow is also a transfer point for mails to and from offices in County Kerry. Though present plans do not envisage any change in the status of Mallow as a sorting centre, it is proposed to build a new sorting office there and possible sites for this purpose are under consideration.
