Processing of the application had to be deferred pending clearance from the planning authority. This came to hand only recently and approval will shortly be issued.

It is a condition for the payment of grants to development farmers under the farm modernisation scheme that an extract of farm accounts is submitted for each year of the farm development plan.
As the applicant in this case is a development farmer, the grant cannot be paid until the necessary extracts for 1979 and 1980 are furnished. If these extracts are not furnished by 31 December 1982 at the latest, the applicant will lose entitlement to the development rate of grant for this and all future investment under the scheme.
