asked the Minister for Education (a) if he will confirm whether the provision of a new post-primary school at Neilstown-Rowlagh, Clondalkin, County Dublin, has been postponed from 1983; (b) if the school will open in temporary accommodation in such circumstances; and (c) if so, where.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 250 and 251 together.
Because of unavoidable delays in the finalisation of the last stages of the planning process for the new post-primary school at Neilstown-Rowlagh, Clondalkin, County Dublin, tenders for the new building are not due until early November next. Accordingly, construction work is unlikely to be completed before the summer of 1984.
Pending the completion of the new school in 1984, it is proposed to enrol pupils in temporary premises in September 1983 at a location not yet determined.
