There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.
However, there is an application for a new house grant. There has been no undue delay in processing this application and arrangements are being made to have the grant paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the long delay in paying a house improvement scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.
A house improvement grant of £600 under the old scheme was paid in this case on 24 September 1979 for the provision of an extension and bathroom facilities. An application made under the current scheme in respect of window replacement work has been rejected as the work did not come within the scope of the scheme. The applicant was so informed on 12 October 1982.
