Regulations providing for revised speed limits in County Wexford are ready in draft form in my Department. However, certain roads for which speed limits have been proposed by Wexford County Council cannot be included in regulations until they are formally taken in charge by the road authority. It has been agreed with Wexford County Council to defer the making of regulations until this matter is finalised by them. When this is done—very shortly, I hope—I will be in a position to issue the necessary regulations.
