Vol. 339 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers - Oil Tanker Drivers' Dispute.

16.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will list each oil company which still owes money for the services provided by the Defence Forces during the tanker drivers' industrial dispute in September 1980; the amount owed by each company; and the steps he intends to take to recover the money due.

Payments have been received from all the oil companies for which the Defence Forces made deliveries of oil products during the dispute mentioned. One of the companies with-held from their payment a sum of £10,635 arising out of a dispute regarding gas diesel contamination. Recovery of that amount is being pursued by the Department of Industry and Energy.
