It is intended to mark the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the taking over by the State of the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park, Killarney. A number of events are being considered, but plans have not yet been finalised.
When does the Minister expect plans to be finalised?
It is important that we should have proper celebrations for this unique event. This was the first national park in Ireland. I assure the Deputy that plans for suitable celebrations will be ready in good time.
Could the Minister indicate what type of celebrations will take place?
We have several proposals but none has been finalised.
