A site for a new Garda station in Tallaght has been offered to us by Dublin Corporation. Examination of the site to ascertain its suitability for this purpose is at present in progress. If this examination proves the site to be satisfactory, once negotiations with the corporation are concluded a new station will be built as a matter of urgency.
Can the Minister specify exactly where the site is?
The Department of Justice only recently finalised their requirements. There had been previous requests for a site but the requirements have changed. I have not the information sought by the Deputy but I will try to get it for him.
