Work on the extension of Kilkenny fire station was completed in 1980 at a cost of £441,000. Loans totalling £420,000, including a supplemental loan of £135,000, have been sanctioned by my Department for this project. A further supplemental loan application for £21,000 submitted by the council is currently under examination in my Department and a decision on the matter will issue shortly.
As regards the public toilets in Inistioge, Kilkenny County Council's revised proposal for the raising of a loan to finance the construction has been sanctioned.
