asked the Minister for Finance when an inspector will call on the previous employer of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 to obtain the necessary pay and tax information as promised to Deputy Gay Mitchell in a letter from the chairman of the Revenue Commissioners dated 13 January 1983.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the details required by the inspector of taxes have now been supplied by the taxpayer's former employer. A revised certificate of tax-free allowances for the year 1982-83 on a cumulative basis has now been issued by the inspector. Any refund of tax due will be made by the taxpayer's present employer on the operation of the revised certificate.
