asked the Minister for Finance if he intends to review the terms and operation of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Arterial Drainage Act.
418.
The terms of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, under which arterial drainage schemes have been and are being carried out to the benefit of nearly 600,000 acres of land, have proved to be generally satisfactory. Only one amendment of the Act was considered necessary and that was made in 1955. There are no proposals at present for any further amendment of the Act.
