: There is no record in my Department of a current application for a house improvement grant from the person named. A house improvement grant was previously paid in this case in 1976.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be approved and issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
: Arrangements have now been made for payment of the grant. Approval to the mortgage subsidy has also been issued. Payment of the subsidy will not commence until the grant has been paid and at least six months have elapsed from the date of execution of the mortgage deed and the person named submits the claim form duly completed and certified by the lending agency.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding an application for a new house grant and a special mortgage subsidy in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when payment will be made.
: The applicant in this case has been requested to submit documentation to my Department in support of his application for a new house grant and mortgage subsidy. When it is received the file will be referred to the inspector for investigation and report with a view to allocation and payment of the grant if in order. If the applicant is approved for the mortgage subsidy he can claim payment of the first phase of the subsidy when he has paid six months instalments of his mortgage to his lending agency.

: My Department are awaiting the submission of a Form SL 4 which the applicant in this case has been asked to complete and have certified by his inspector of taxes. On its receipt, his eligibility for a grant will be determined.
