Written Answers . - Kerry School Extension .

asked the Minister for Education when her Department will sanction the erection of a prefab at Annabla national school in the parish of Kilcummin, County Kerry, where there is gross overcrowding; and if she will make a statement on the matter having regard to the fact that this prefab was inspected and approved by the Office of Public Works.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the construction of a proposed permanent extension to Annabla national school in the parish of Kilcummin, County Kerry, which is urgently required; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Education the reason the extension to Annabla national school, Kilcummin, Killarney, County Kerry is not going ahead.

: I propose to take Questions Nos. 721, 722 and 723 together.

A grant has recently been sanctioned towards the cost of providing a prefabricated classroom at Annabla national school, County Kerry.

Further arrangements are a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works and the chairman of the Board of Management.

The Commissioners of Public Works have recently furnished a report on the feasibility of adding a permanent extension to the school. This report is at present under consideration in my Department. A decision will be conveyed to the chairman as soon as possible.
