: A maximum house improvement grant under the old scheme was paid to the person named in October 1981. Under the current scheme a grant for carrying out necessary works to the fabric of a house cannot be paid within ten years from the payment of a previous grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the balance of a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.
: The Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979, prohibits the payment of the balance of a new house grant, under the old scheme of new house grants, in this case, as the house was not completed before 31 December 1978. The applicant has been so informed.
