Vol. 343 No. 2

Written Answers. - Supply of Medicine.

604.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a permanent order to be issued to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 in respect of medicines she is still entitled to receive under the medical card scheme.

The preparation concerned was removed from re-imbursement under the GMS on 1 October 1982. The Eastern Health Board decided to make it available to the person named, by giving her an order on her local pharmacist for three months supply. The order will be renewed if required. If the lady will notify the Director of Community Care at Cromcastle Road Health Centre at least a week before her current supplies run out, enclosing her doctor's prescription, arrangements will be made to send her further orders as necessary. It would not be necessary for her, in this event, to travel to the health centre.
