Transfer applications within the Civil Service originate mainly with the clerical grades and such applications are dealt with by each Department in accordance with arrangements agreed under the conciliation and arbitration scheme.
A total of five applications for transfer to County Galway are on hand from staff in my Department and in the office of the Civil Service Commission. These applications have been forwarded to Departments with offices in County Galway but it is not possible to specify the waiting period involved.
