Vol. 343 No. 10

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

613.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a qualifying condition of the scheme, ten years must have elapsed since a previous grant was paid in respect of the relevant house.

614.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a disabled person's grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The payment of grants under the disabled persons grants scheme is a matter for the housing authorities and is one in which I have no function.

615.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. A maximum essential repairs grant of £300 was, however, paid in this case in September 1981.

616.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have an inspection carried out for the purpose of a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the application was made several months ago.

The file in this case is with my Department's inspector for a report on the applicant's eligibility for approval of the grant. On receipt of this report the matter will be finalised as quickly as possible.

617.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a house improvement grant under the old scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A maximum reconstruction grant of £140 under a former scheme was paid to the person named in two instalments of £70, the first on 6 October 1966 and the second on 4 October 1979.
