Vol. 343 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Dublin Post Offices.

685.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will give details of the new post office facilities which will shortly become available to serve estates in the new town of Tallaght, County Dublin; and when these services will come into operation.

I recently sanctioned two postmaster/postmistress appointments for the Kilnamanagh and Jobstown areas of Tallaght. The appointees will take up duty in the very near future.

The new sub-post offices will provide the normal range of post office facilities.

686.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the post office premises which have been acquired at Airton Road, Tallaght, County Dublin, will come into use; and the reason for the prolonged delay in bringing these premises into use as the facilities are needed urgently.

A contract for fitting out the premises in Airton Road, Tallaght, has been placed and it is hoped that the premises will be ready for use towards the end of the year.

The placing of the contract was delayed by financial constraints.
