Vol. 343 No. 10

Written Answers. - Headage Scheme Date.

838.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason the closing date for participating in the headage scheme for 1983 has been brought forward to 20 June, when the inspections for the scheme will commence; when they are likely to conclude; and the number of Departmental officers involved in inspections for the areas of west Limerick and Sliabh Felim.

The closing date for the headage schemes has been extended to 30 June 1983 and inspections which are now starting on 11 July 1983, six weeks earlier than in 1982, are likely to conclude in October. There are two Department officers involved in inspections in the disadvantaged part of west Limerick and Slieve Felim.
