Aer Rianta has submitted to me, for my approval, a proposed productivity agreement with their craftsmen on the introduction of various productivity/ flexibility measures within the company. The agreement, which is under consideration in my Department at present, provides for a basic pay increase of 4.04 per cent for the craftsmen with effect from 16 December 1982 plus a lump sum of £400 per person in lieu of retrospection.
I hope to be in a position to convey a decision on the matter to Aer Rianta shortly.
