In the period 1 January 1983 to 28 June 1983, Fóir Teoranta received 114 applications for financial assistance from 109 companies employing 7,849 workers. During the same period, facilities totalling £12.437 million were approved for 45 companies while applications from a further 30 companies were at various stages of processing on 28 June 1983.
Fóir Teoranta have been allocated £18 million in the 1983 Public Capital Programme. The allocation is being reviewed in the light of the pattern of demand for assistance during the first half of this year.
