As the Deputy will be aware, an Order under Section 40 (6) of the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980 can be made only after consultation with the Minister for Transport. It is my intention to proceed at an early date with the laying before each House of the Oireachtas of a draft Order and I have recently received the views of the Minister for Transport. However, pending examination of these views, I am unable to indicate what classes of transport contracts will be covered by the Order.
